Mar. 21st, 2003 09:22 pmI have to second
liss1224's sentiment that bad things are happening in threes right now.
1. Honeybunch is going to be fired. Right now he's suspended, which is a prelude to termination at this point. There were some things he wasn't aware of - namely, that his boss (who is his best friend as well) has a gambling problem and was skimming the till. We're both shocked and hurt, but we're being supportive. Too bad that he couldn't come clean before all of this happened.
2.
msscribe is recovering from a collapse today, most likely caused by brain edema. Seems like only the good people in the world have misfortunes like this.
3. And finally, the mother of one of my girls was involved in a serious car accident last week. I went to see her last night, and her brain injuries are more severe than I'd thought. I had to feed her and she became very agitated; she's going need a lot of time to recover. Poor Amanda - a 16-year-old girl should not have to deal with all of this - she's having a tough time of it all.
It's times like these I'd really like to talk to my mom; she would have known what to say, as all moms do. I'll make do with my doggie - he's got a sympathetic ear. :-)

Date: 2003-03-23 12:38 am (UTC)His boss protected him a bit by not mentioning it to him - honeybunch really didn't know a thing until he got the personal call - and they have not a lick of proof. But that's neither here nor there.
Just gotta roll with the punches...
