I have to second [livejournal.com profile] liss1224's sentiment that bad things are happening in threes right now.

1. Honeybunch is going to be fired. Right now he's suspended, which is a prelude to termination at this point. There were some things he wasn't aware of - namely, that his boss (who is his best friend as well) has a gambling problem and was skimming the till. We're both shocked and hurt, but we're being supportive. Too bad that he couldn't come clean before all of this happened.

2. [livejournal.com profile] msscribe is recovering from a collapse today, most likely caused by brain edema. Seems like only the good people in the world have misfortunes like this.

3. And finally, the mother of one of my girls was involved in a serious car accident last week. I went to see her last night, and her brain injuries are more severe than I'd thought. I had to feed her and she became very agitated; she's going need a lot of time to recover. Poor Amanda - a 16-year-old girl should not have to deal with all of this - she's having a tough time of it all.

It's times like these I'd really like to talk to my mom; she would have known what to say, as all moms do. I'll make do with my doggie - he's got a sympathetic ear. :-)

Everything seems to be falling apart for everyone on LJ at the moment. I'm really sorry about your husband, I hope everything works out for him job wise and with his friend. Hope everything works out for you. Worried about [livejournal.com profile] liss1224 and [livejournal.com profile] msscribe, but am glad msscribe is awake and hopefully recovering. *sends you hugs*

That so totally sucks that your boy is going to lose his job for something he didn't do. Why will he lose it, though? Don't they know it wasn't him and he didn't know about it? And I'm terribly sorry for Amanda, a hard thing for her to have to cope with.

*hugs*

So sorry to hear about your fiancee's job. Have seen first hand the damage that compulsive gambling can do. That's awful. *hugs*

Am also sorry to hear of Amanda's mother. *sigh* Terrible things do seem to be happening in bunches.

Will keep you in my thoughts.

*sends tons of hugs and positive vibes*

I think he's going to be fired because the company assumed that he knew what was going on.

His boss protected him a bit by not mentioning it to him - honeybunch really didn't know a thing until he got the personal call - and they have not a lick of proof. But that's neither here nor there.

Just gotta roll with the punches...

I'm so sorry your fiance is going through so much crap right now :(. But I hope he can at least take comfort in the fact that he's doing the right thing and he will have a clean conscience. That kind of integrity will be rewarded in the end, I'm sure of it! Best of luck to both of you...
