quidditchgrrl: (Stephen Goes to Washington)
I wanted to go to bed early last night. I've been too worried and too amped to sleep. *sigh*

I did manage to tear myself away from the computer and sit on the couch to watch TDS/TCR, because I felt like I needed to see them giggling. I wasn't disappointed!

Is it just me, or was last night the first time Stephen has ever kissed a woman on-screen?! Still, hot. (That wasn't his wife, right? Lucky, lucky girl.)

But now, I am le tired. And I can't have a nap.

Writing yet another re-training document for an employee who is about as useful as overcooked spaghetti. The most frustrating part? That *I* did this part of his training, but he has completely forgotten everything he's learned in the last two months. It's like he has short-term memory loss; every day is like his first day on the job. But we can't just let him go, oh no! We have to retrain him for the 6483651206th time. *headdesk*

It's not even 10 and I'm ready to collapse from exhaustion. >.o

Homework for job interview was in at 11:00am, after frantic search for copy I'd written last night. Alas, it had disappeared into the ether. Hopefully I answered their questions well (thanks a million, [livejournal.com profile] rainpuddle13!), but if not, I'm not the right candidate.

If I'm thinking clearly, the Sorting area receives about 100 boxes a day. Which, at between 25-30 items per box, comes out to 2500-3000 items per day, or roughly what our branch processes on a busy day. Totally, utterly doable, even in the larger context of the building. *wheels spin*

I need to stop planning this job before I even make it to round 3 so I don't end up crushed if I don't make it. Yargh. Who am I kidding? I'll be crushed regardless.

Reserved The Care and Feeding of Perfectionists because it didn't look like one of those "we can cure you of your high standards!" manuals. I admit to being a perfectionist, but I don't consider it a bad thing at all. Other people do. :P

Tomorrow is PP at [livejournal.com profile] rlanto's for her birthday! Finally! :D

A true testament to my level of fatigue that Justin Timberlake's "Rock Your Body" failed to bring me to life. I'm ooooooold.

Night all.

Look what [livejournal.com profile] chickadilly made for [livejournal.com profile] redblaze and I!!! [livejournal.com profile] darkened_winter told Kele she was "old school." I think she's right! :)

Kele and I became friends online while we were putting up our smutty HP fanfics at ffnet. Before the NC-17 ban. Before the crazy rating system they have now. When it was the place to meet pr0n addicts cool people in the fandom.

Those were the days, eh?

Thanks to the loverly [livejournal.com profile] chickadilly for the icons, they rock! <3 >:D<

I am always amazed to think that I've been close to so many people in this fandom for years, now. Who knew a random search for "Harry Potter" would have brought me here. Cool.

GIP-ing because I am pwned by Jon Stewart.  I have always nursed a grand and t00by hatred of Tucker Carlson, and Jon putting that arse in his place gave me a warm feeling inside.  :)

This just cracks my shit up. I guess there is a threshold one can reach where that old myth becomes reality!

Anyone who can make me a funny/guh icon featuring the Happy Trail will receive a one-shot Trio fic for Christmas!

Bonus points if you can find a better shot of it.  *shameless begging*

Man, I needed this today.  Muah.  :>

First off, GIP!  [livejournal.com profile] hastyent made said icon for me, yummy!

From the public service files:

One of the staff came up to me yesterday and said, "we have a problem.  We're never going to get this book back."

I gave him a strange look and asked why not.

He shows me the title - Overcoming Compulsive Hoarding.

*is dead*

Have not been online due to massive computer failure, work, wank, and general lethargy.  I gots things to do, will catch up with you all on the flip side.  :)
