*Thud*

Whirlwindy kind of day. Stayed up half the night playing about on the 'net, trying not to worry about doctor's appointment (yes, I know this is counterproductive, but it's better than staring at the ceiling going over worst case scenarios for eight hours).

The tumor is about 2x2 inches and partially blocking the pyloric area and the pyloric valve, which I knew. What he proposes is a partial gastrectomy - removing 25-30% of the lower stomach along with the tumor - and attaching the stomach to the small intestine a la gastric bypass. This involves making a six-inch medial incision; this is no ordinary laparoscopic surgery. I'll be in the hospital for five days. And here I am thinking it'll be a quick zip-zip, out in a day or so, couple days at home, then back to normal! Doctor says this is a '6 or 7' in magnitude as far as surgeries go.

I know it's going to be okay, but meeble.

Today I also met [livejournal.com profile] lissinthecity, [livejournal.com profile] rachet and [livejournal.com profile] madlorivoldmort for lunch at Cap City Diner. The food was wonderful, and the company even more so. :D Hit a couple of thrift stores, then met back up with the trio at the North Market. Much fun, so glad to put faces with names at last!

[livejournal.com profile] rachet, [livejournal.com profile] madlorivoldmort - we REALLY need to set up something to get the Columbusites together once in a while - there are so many of us in the area.

Went to spinning and conditioning tonight, and now feel rather oogy and tired. I certainly don't want to call off tomorrow, so I shall call it a night. Maybe. After I take care of some online errands. And read LJ. And...*thunk*

If you ever get the chance, take some time out and visit! There's parking right in front of it (and if you have your parking ticket validated, it's only .25 per 15 minutes) and there are so many different vendors.

Personally, I love to go there and eat lunch - so many different foods to choose from, from Italian to vegetarian to Irish - and there are other things to look at as well.

Mm, lunchie-munchies! They have sheperd's pie, pork and beef pasties, and lots of other good stuff.

You can take the #2 bus to the convention center, then walk a block west and it's right there.

Good stuff!
