Right now he's co-managing at a pizza franchise (which shall remain nameless), which sucks for all the usual reasons - salaried pay (meaning you work 65 hours a week for 40 hours' worth of pay), odd and long hours, dealing with scum-of-the-earth customers, lazy staff, et cetera. No luck so far with the search.
Every business fudges numbers. We do it here (people order things for studies without getting approval, or the government wants us to move faster than their procurement processes) on and off. That's the way of the world.
My fiancé’s boss left a paper trail (basically he was deleting inventory that was never received without permission). Now my honeybunch is meeting with the head honchos to discuss the situation. I think they think that if they threaten to fire him, he'll rat out his boss. Ain't gonna happen - honeybunch has ethics. His boss has already been suspended. All of this for a couple hundred bucks. Watch out Enron! *rolls eyes*
Funny thing is, the company has not a shred of proof that either of them had any malicious intent, and my honeybunch had no knowledge of what was going on until it was too late. Had he known, this wouldn't have happened! At any rate, they have no just cause to fire him.
So, the job search may start progressing faster than anticipated, and we may be talking to a lawyer by the end of the day about wrongful termination. I think we'd be okay with adding a couple of zeroes to each day honeybunch is out of work (and this is a huge conglomerate company, I can't imagine why they'd bother, but..)!
