There are people in the hallway laughing and gossiping and generally being fuckwits. I am revising a proposal that needs to go out today. If you see me on the news, you'll know why.

Hugs! Here's to hoping the fuckwits find another hallway and let you get your proposal done.

I hear you, mate. I work in a 'cube farm,' and have a workmate who practically screams into the phone and laughs like a horse neighing. I kid you not. I've worked with her for 15 years and it still drives me mad when I'm trying to concentrate on my own work.

I know - they were talking about this on the radio one morning - annoying co-workers.

I can't wait to have my own door.

Heh, enclosed offices are going the way of the dodo bird, at least at my company. In aboiut a month and a half, we'll be moving to new cubicles that will be hexagontal in shape with fabric partitions. No offices, not even for senior mamangement.

Thankfully, we're building an administration building this year and the one thing everyone agreed on was 'no cubicles!'

I think your senior management is going to feel the burn of decreased productivity - I find it hard to concentrate with all the noise generated in cubicle areas. And a cube feels so...temporary.
