Subject line aside, I am having a fairly decent week. I had a dream that I was sprayed by a skunk. My dreams are quite straightforward, yeah?

I got a couple of callbacks for interviews today, and a call for civil service exam to work for the city. We'll see; let's hope that something pans out soon...

I came back from lunch today to find my boss holding court, complaining to our staff about another staffer who has the audacity to not sign for her paycheck stub on time. Nevermind that said staffer has been working here less than 2 months, and was on vacation last week, when paychecks were issued.

*urge to kill rising*

ANYWAY. Now, the good stuff! My sister and I are signing up to run a half-marathon relay on August 31st - 6.55 miles for each of us. As much as the half-marathon was a milestone for me, I do NOT want to do it again. We're also going to run a 10K on August 2nd.

C-BUS PEEPS: Please to be coming out to cheer us on the 31st! The route runs straight down Riverside Drive. Having people root from the sidelines is SUCH a morale booster.

Plane ticket for Portus is bought, and I found a sweet deal on Hotwire. The downside is that I have about 30 minutes between connecting flights. *bites nails*

People are actually ADMITTING THEY LIKE COLDPLAY?! Whut. I might have to change my facebook profile.

I have this weekend completely off work again! W00t! Spending time with my lovelies - seriously, I nearly burst into tears on Tuesday night, I was so happy to see my friend Jes. Tonight, I would have gone crazy without Kiki to keep me upbeat. I <3 all my friends; you all mean the WORLD to me. :-)

I need to get to bed in order to face a whole day with my boss tomorrow.

Skunk dreams...did you smell it in your dream? I have smelled things in my dreams and it's weird.

And DAAAAAng, if your run-ocity is not impressive. I cheer in spirit.

I can't wait until you don't have to face that boss again.

It sounds like everything else is going well - YAY!

Where is your change over? What day and time are you arriving? What airline are you flying?

I'm leaving from Columbus, flying into Memphis with a 30 min layover, then onto DFW.

Er, Northwest 1420 leaving CMH 12:30pm, arrive MEM 1:15pm; NW 3522 leaving MEM 1:50pm, arrive DFW 3:26pm - 7/10/08

You flying anywhere near that? :)

Unfortunately not. My layover is in Houston and Libbie and I get into DFW about 11am.

Bummer. However we will be ready and waiting when you get to the hotel. Yay!

Nothing yet, although I think I'm out of his price range (he does not offer insurance or benefits of any kind, so my hourly is fairly high compared to what his other staff probably make).

I have an interview for a state position this week though, so I'm still looking. :)

*hugs*
