No, it's not just you. I look at my life and I see lots of things that are the same and it gets depressing from time to time. But, I think of all the stuff that I've done that my mother never dreamed of doing and I feel a lot better. None of it has much to do with education though. It has more to do with the era and nerve. I was born two generations later than she and with an entirely different set of genes.

I think that people grow up with the expectation that the more education they have the happier they will be and it doesn't follow. In fact, I think sometimes it's the exact opposite.

Then again, maybe it's just hormones. :P

Edit: I forgot to mention - I found the purpose of the meme and the original site. Yeah, the strangest things bother the hell out of me.
