1. I've been so demoralized at work. Not much to say about it aside from the fact that it sucks when, no matter what you've accomplished or the good things people say about you, you'll never be promoted because of who your boss is.

2. Something good - there are condos coming up for sale in the Worthington area for $138K. That might actually be affordable for Honeybunch and I. Yay for finally finding something to at least look into!

3. I had a Hawaiian Blizzard today - Dairy Queen donated a portion of the cost to Children's Miracle Network for Blizzards purchased today. Score! The stomachache was worth it. Mmm, frozen bananas...

4. In the interest of citing all the people I steal from works, my opinion on the thwarted UK plot, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] claireyfairy1: Terrorists, blah. Heathrow in chaos, blah. Can't wait to see the devastating use to which this event will be used by George Bush and Tony Blair.

5. Doesn't it stink when you really need to cry but you can't? Yeah. :\

I'm hoping to get to the State Fair Saturday. I think I need to mock people whose fashion sense is even worse than mine in order to feel better.

Ta, all - hope you're planning something fun for the weekend!

Don't forget Joe Lieberman and Dick Cheney! The terrorists have almost won, according to them.

Worthington, yay! You should definitely look into it. I loved that area. :D

I totally get that sometimes. And then the littlest thing will set you off which is always fun. :P

If it'll make you feel better, the condo I was going to buy in a Boston suburb (and then the deal fell through, about which I actually am now happy) was going to be $177,000. For a one-room, 450-square-foot studio.

Please enjoy the Fair for me, and certainly eat something fried on a stick. (What is the butter statue this year?)

Well, Boston is the most expensive city in the US. But that is CRAZY for a teeny place like that! /midwestern

The sculpture, aside from the cow, is of two football players - OSU and Michigan, I presume - facing off. Nothing says OHIO than OSU/Michigan rivalry, eh?

*shakes head* I've never understood the necessity of the butter statue.

But, you are right. Nothing says Ohio better then OSU/Michigan.

I hope you get to the fair as well. There's nothing like mullets and plaid to make you feel like a human again!

Watch a movie that makes you cry. That way you get it out of your system. I rarely ever cry but when I need to, and can't, I pull out one of my old standbys and voila. You'll feel much better.

John Howard (the Australian Prime Minister.) will be on the same boat as Blair and Bush. Australian airports aren't allowing anything but medications on board their flights now. Even wallets are a big no no! Oh the joys of fear mongering!
But I gotta say I got rather jealous at the mention of banana's seeing as they have been a rare treat in these neck of the woods since the start of the year. Thanks to a cyclone that wiped out 90% of Australia's banana production. The last time I saw a banana they were going at around $17 (Aus) a kilo. That would be about $9(US) a pound. So anyone who mentions eating a banana makes me jealous.

I just got back from Sydney yesterday and thankfully, hand luggage is still allowed, but for all flights to and throught the US, no liquids or gels are allowed in carryon. I was worried I'd have to check my laptop and it'd arrive in the US in pieces. o.O

As for the bananas, I *so* wanted to show my Aussie penpal a peanut butter/honey/banana sandwich, just to see the look on her face. She was horrified when she watched me build a PBJ. :B

And yay for affordable housing. The only places round here with a one in the first digit of the price also has a comma right after that digit. :/

Nothing can cheer one up faster than the Ohio State Fair (Butter cow! Donuts on a stick! Yards of non-alcoholic cocktails! Toothless carnies! Fanny Packs and stretch fabrics! Hot Tub Sales! Sheep! Those foot jigglers that look like barrels outside of the Riffe center! Giant Slide with itchy burlap bags!)

I hope things get better (how can they not, CHEESE ON A STICK!).
