Wow, man.

I'm impressed. This might have gone along better if it was in a college/university setting - the level of cerebral connection was a little over the top for high school. Is it just me, or do a lot of screenwriters love to interject teen angst and drama into something that actually matters?

And why, oh why, do they have Laura wearing stockings? NO ONE WEARS STOCKINGS AND GARTERS OUTSIDE OF THE BEDROOM. You really don't have to go that far for noir, I mean please.

Cripes, I've got the hottest crush on Joseph Gordon-Levitt, even more than I did after watching Latter Days. Guh.

Lukas Haas is looking rough, still cute though.

I'm interested to know what those of you who've seen it thought of it. If you haven't seen it, put it in your Netflix queue. Good stuff.

Freaky coincidence. I just finished watching Brick not even an hour ago. It was my second time watching and I gotta say, I love Gordon-Levitt even more now.

The first time I saw the movie was at a sneak peak before the movie came out, and the director was there to introduce it and answer questions. It was so cute; he was all nervous and hopeful that we would like it. He kept talking about how cheap the movie was to make, and how he filmed it in his hometown. I think he was surprised, almost, when we all genuinely liked it.

He really shouldn't have been worried, though. That dialogue was so fun to listen to, even if I didn't get half of it, and the mystery cloak-and-dagger stuff was fantastic.

I agree with the dialogue bit. It was so fast paced, original, witty. I enjoyed all the characters as well, espcially the seductive actress who changed her outfit in each scene we saw her.
