I'm impressed. This might have gone along better if it was in a college/university setting - the level of cerebral connection was a little over the top for high school. Is it just me, or do a lot of screenwriters love to interject teen angst and drama into something that actually matters?
And why, oh why, do they have Laura wearing stockings? NO ONE WEARS STOCKINGS AND GARTERS OUTSIDE OF THE BEDROOM. You really don't have to go that far for noir, I mean please.
Cripes, I've got the hottest crush on Joseph Gordon-Levitt, even more than I did after watching Latter Days. Guh.
Lukas Haas is looking rough, still cute though.
