I made peanut butter cookies tonight to start my ill thought out holiday gift giving. Ah, the joys of being too cash-strapped to buy presents. Tomorrow will be macaroons, then gingersnaps, then fudge. Sugar cookies will be last. I hope the oven will hold out long enough. Yeargh.

To file under "people are clueless": you might want to go out and buy The Chronicles of Narnia rather than show up at the library two days before the film comes out, looking for a copy on the shelf. Got asked about Close Range, too (the book in which the story Brokeback Mountain appears).

Sometimes, Barnes and Noble is your friend. Especially if you huff and roll your eyes like you can't believe anyone would read books or borrow them from the library! :P
