Slipping on to mention some RL stuff...
Mar. 15th, 2004 12:39 amDo you all remember my problem employee?
It's been a damned hard row to hoe, let me tell you. I spent three months writing her annual evaluation, documenting all of her deviations from the minimum standards, her flauting of policy, and her lack of respect for her job. I requested her previous evaluations, and they all said the exact same things I was mentioning about her tardiness, her frequent call-offs, and general lack of work ethic. She, of course, denied all of these things (which, considering that even administrative staff, including HR and the Associate Director had been watching her on a regular basis, was a stupid thing to do).
In the interim, she's toed the line, but just barely.
But Thursday? Last Thursday? She turned in her resignation.
*pumps fist*
(For some reason, she thinks that because she turned in a letter of resignation, it will excuse her for not giving two weeks notice. She's also under the impression that she will still be eligible for future employment. Considering she never reached an 'acceptable' in Attendance, Policies and Procedures, or Decision Making in the three years she worked here, there isn't a snowball's chance in hell that she'll ever work for this system - possibly any library, for that matter - again.)
I wish her luck.
