Fic Revealed!

Yay! smutty_claus gift fics have been revealed! voldycheese wrote Wherefor Art Thou, Romeo? for me, and I wrote Alchemist's Crown for oh_honestleigh.

I don't think she liked it, as she didn't review or email. So disheartening. :-( All you nice people, let me know what you think - I've never written something quite like that, if you know what I mean (and if you don't, go read and find out)! Merci.

And a thousand thanks to r_becca for coordinating this, being infinitely patient, and reviewing fics even in the thick of posting! What a trooper.



Work is kicking my ass. This is hell week, knew it was coming, still unprepared for the onslaught. *falls over*

We also have a homeless lady who's been coming into the library for the past couple of weeks. Not really a problem, other than picking through the food bank boxes out in the lobby. Now it's a problem because she STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN. I mean, eye-watering stench of old-lady pee. I have a shelver who has Asperger's, and he can barely take the smell (I don't know if it's related to his AS, but he's been really agitated when he has to work where she is/has been).

Cue suburbanite outrage. You can do a lot of things in the library, but you CANNOT SMELL. One of our regular patrons (who has his own mental health issues) confronted her last night, and when the Librarian-in-Charge wouldn't make her leave, he went and brought in the cops.

Good times, you can't make this stuff up.

Patron referred to our materials collection service with five long-overdue items on procrastination. Smirking would have been evil.

One of the other staffers got screamed at (and I came running from the AV area, this person was so loud I thought they were going to get violent) over a fine on videos about...anger management. I made sure to read off the titles again for everyone within (my) earshot. *headdesking with laughter*

Both of those transactions were REALLY hard to do with a straight face. :D

Rainbow is nearly done and over. I think our incoming WA (our group does six-month terms of office; the Worthy Advisor is the head of the group) will do great, now that I'm not in the picture. She can do it, it's just that I'm overbearing.

Andy asked me if I cried. I don't think I'll be upset until I'm introduced as a Past Mother Advisor. That feels wrong at this point.
