IPod Shuffle Meme!
Oct. 4th, 2005 01:27 amWell, okay, not really. I don't have an IPod to shuffle, just a little MP3 player for bike rides. But, lyric meme!
Here are some lyrics of songs I've recently ripped to my PC. Oh, CML, how I love your vast selection of free music!
These are all singles new and old; please, no Googling.
1. Five souls play the headrole/excite the middle between the two poles
2. Once again you can scream and shout/When I rock the bells/Yell out my name
3. Little red corvette now she was faster
4. Met Jesus up on a hill/He confessed I was dressed to kill
5. What I have, I knew was true/Things go wrong, they always do
6. The call to arms, you're likened to a whisper/I liken to a radio
7. High five, look up, look alive, as the scions of history guess another mystery wrong
8. Some people get up at the break of day/Gotta go to work before it gets too late
9.I want to confiscate your drugs/I don't think I can get enough We Are All On Drugs, Weezer, guessed by
ramen_addict
10.In the shadows of tall buildings/The architecture is slowly peeling Cathedrals, Jump Little Children, guessed by
queenkatieett
Totally excited about Witching Hour, nervous as usual, and wondering if I should just forgo trying to decide ahead of time what to go to and just go wherever I want to...I have some things I know I'll be at (fanfic readings, banquets and such), but there are SO MANY CHOICES!
Talked to
authenticpoppy via phone tonight. V. good conversation. Must try Neil Gaiman and Christopher Moore.
Night.

Date: 2005-10-04 11:19 am (UTC)As for Moore, get Lamb - It is probably the most accessible of his books and one of the funniest. Practical Demonkeeping is the one I started with, but I picked it up in a bookstore about a week after it came out. I've been reading him since the beginning. He rocks. Even though he doesn't like JKR, I forgive him. He has recc'd some of my other favorite authors.
I *really* wish I could go. Some of the panels looked great. I'm still hoping that something changes between now and then. Maybe I don't get the 'no' look when I am sighing. Oi >.<
Next time there is a panel that crosses beteen us, we will plan our driving, eh? We can talk books! I wanted to find out more about what books you like!
