Good weekend. Friday was spent mulching and watering flowerbeds at the Masonic Temple - hot, dirty and miserable. There is nothing like taking a shower when you're really dirty, though! I love that squeaky-cleanness.

Yes, I'm weird. You already knew that. :P

Saturday was work, which wasn't half-bad. Now that my HR troubles have abated, I can actually enjoy my job on most fronts. Hooray!

Also, don't buy Jeni's ice cream from Cup-O-Joe - you'll pay $0.25 more and get about 1/2 of what you would typically get at the North Market Jeni's. Boo!

Today was the day of friend-filled goodness. Went to the fair for a bit, walked around, got HUGE blisters on each little toe. Gah. Bought some Honey Bee skin cream from [livejournal.com profile] redblaze and admired her sales technique.

For some reason, I forgot that I can't drink iced tea anymore. :( No fair food for me! I looked for [livejournal.com profile] coramandragora, but I didn't see her booth.

Left late for Dayton, where I met up with [livejournal.com profile] hastyent, [livejournal.com profile] generalmanda and [livejournal.com profile] ladybug_rjc for dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. Great food, lousy service - our waiter definitely had some sort of attitude problem with us. *shrug* He only got 15% from me. Went back to [livejournal.com profile] generalmanda's and looked at photos of the Wilmington HBP release party. Wow! :D

A Knight's Tale is the worst.movie.EVER. Even Paul Bettany's naked arse couldn't save that one. Yech.

My left tricep is spasming for no good reason I can think of. Possibly from the six hours of shelving I managed to squeeze in between social visits today. It's driving me nuts.

Hugs going out to:
[livejournal.com profile] 1anonymous1 - sorry you were sickly, wish you could have hung with us!
Jenn - don't know what's been up with you, but it will get better, eventually *inane platitudes*
[livejournal.com profile] coldcoffeeeyes for becoming a published author! :D

HR problems fixed? Does that mean you have found your two new shelvers? I had considered putting in my application, since the hours were a near perfect match to the office work I'm doing now.

Nope! I meant that my problem shelver (the one we worked 2 years - almost to the day - to get out) is gone. I don't look at vacancies as problems, per se.

I have two positions open - both 14-hour - and possibly another evening position opening up.

Give it a go (oh, and we'll probably have at least one Circ Asst - CSA - job coming open here soon, too)!

A Knights Tale was one of the only movies I've ever walked out of. Joining "The Specialist", and "Spy Kids 2"

I feel your pain, Chris! When "Taking Care of Business" came on during the jousting scene, I just put my head in my hands and prayed it would be over soon (alas, no such luck).

I'll concede that it's terrible, but admit that I enjoy it anyways. At least Paul Bettany's bits. And butt. :)
