Well, the counterfeit bill was actually a real one...had it examined at the bank.  I guess it had been run over or wadded up and that's what the weird texture was.  I didn't believe it until she put the pen on the bill and the ink stayed black.

And not to beat a dead horse, but I probably have political opinions that most of you don't (I'm one of the 10% of the population that doesn't necessarily believe that we've been to the moon, for example, crazy as may seem to some of you).  I understand this and keep my mouth shut or deal with the consequences.

To that end, from this interview with Wil Wheaton:

8. What legacy do you expect to leave behind?

I know people who are afraid to examine their own lives, and are consequently stuck in the same unhappy place year after year. When I decided to face the fear, and examine myself...I changed what needed to be changed, and I accepted the rest.  I mean, if I can stare down adversity and occasionally triumph, anyone can.

Amen, Wil.

My niece, her husband and baby were up over the weekend.  I love them all, but I grow more certain everyday that I do not want to have kids.  Maybe if I could clone myself and the clone could raise the baby until it could talk...

Wedding planning coming along nicely.  Will book the rehearsal dinner restaurant this week, will look at rental shops for decorations this weekend.  My sister talked to my dad about money, and he's agreed to be less grouchy.  I hate asking for money, he knows this, and getting pissy with me about it only increases my stress level, even if he plans to give me the money regardless.

Rainbow has been one of the bright spots recently.  The girls keep giving me moments of zen and if we make it through October - initiation and our Assembly's 40th anniversary - we'll be home free.  You know you've done something right when you know your girls are motivated to excel without your ever reminding them.  I'm happy.

I'm in panic shopping mode now.  My underwear doesn't fit, my bras are on the tightest hooks (whoever knew you could actually use the tightest hooks?), I have one pair of pants that fit, and I can buy women's XL shirts in the regular Misses department.  Unfortunately, I have neither the time nor the inclination to buy clothes that will be too big for me in a couple of months (karma willing).  I did break down and buy a couple of shirts after I flashed half of the male staff Saturday morning.  >.<

Work is good.  Shelves are horribly out of order and messy though and I'm putting in full-time to take care of that, since it's my job and all.  My job does motivate me to buy a couple lottery tickets each week.  :P

Damn, almost 1am, and I'd promised I'd start getting more sleep.  Who needs sleep, right?

Hope all of you out there are having a good week, <3 and *hugs* to you all, especially [livejournal.com profile] 1anonymous1, who is dealing with sun poisoning far from home.  Poor b00.

I read about that in my bathroom trivia book. Everything from the rocks from Arctic, the wind blowing the flag, the Coke bottle in the picture and the lack of technology even today, can be very convincing! Who knows eh?

Yeah ... I'm curious, Donna if you'd care to elaborate?

*shrugs* I just wonder that we've never been back since those early days, not for anything. Seems to be we'd be a little more interested, ya know?

I don't believe in the whole flag thing - that's just inertia from the flag being planted - or any of the 'other' evidence. It doesn't stand up as well as the 'oh, nothing to see here, move along now' mentality, at least to me.

Hi!

I saw in your user information that you've got "iorg" listed as an interest; and the posts currently open on your journal are really amusing, so I've added you. Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know. ^^

That's not a problem! I don't typically lock my posts, so what you see is what you get.

The mores the merrier, I say! :) Welcome!
