Or, not zoom, as the case may be.

I'm trying a new sleep regimen in an attempt to normalize my sleep patterns (based on the book Sleep to be Sexy, Smart and Slim). It seems to be working, but leaves little time for things like obsessively snarking at the RDR/SVA wank in its myriad forums being on the internets.

I think I'll make a separate post about how I'm working this plan, since it's actually working for me, a life-long insomniac.

There is MAJOR work drama going on which is mostly all my fault, and may result in my firing. I need to learn to stand down, for real.

I have been looking at the flist, and loving the commentary on the whole RDR/SVA trial. OMG pie chart of d99m. I do get a vague creepiness at the idea that SVA might be getting off on this whole thing, on the virtue of being in the same room with JKR. Eew. My snark-fu fails me on that one, gross.

Today is the Spring Game, which I haven't gone to for years, and yep, it's supposed to rain. We'll see. :P

Tomorrow is the Dam Fool 4 Miler, which I'm running with my sister. I'm a runner, who knew?

Hugs to you all, and especially to:

I'm a bad, bad fangirl.

While I 100% understand JKR and why she's blocking the publication of the HP Lexicon's book, can I just say that I really don't want a HP reference book/encyclopedia from the author?

I like my fandom world and my own personal thoughts about the characters (and isn't that what reading is all about? That you can put your spin on characters?) without the author writing a compendium to be sure that we all know every particular about every person in her canon. Especially if she goes into it to specifically denouce widely-held opinions on certain characters *cough cough*

And JKR didn't go after the myriad different authors (and freaking Mugglenet) when they published their books/theories/crapoop. So, what gives? Is it because this book would be just the facts? Actually, I want to know that - what makes the "We've come up with some crazy-ass theories" or "Harry Potter makes kids worship Satan" book okay, but this one not okay?

Hopefully the online Lexicon won't be going away anytime soon, and that there will always be enough money to keep it afloat (especially since JKR has said that she personally has used the site to research her own books!).

I'm feeling my oats as a disgrunted fangirl today.
