Dude, it is so not my fault the library will be open tomorrow. People kept asking in this snotty tone tonight, 'you're going to be open?!' as if people who work at the library honestly want to work tomorrow if there was any chance they could stay home. (Although I'd wager given the choice of working or watching the funeral procession and the media falling all over themselves to make Reagan out to be OMGBESTPREZEVER, most of the staff would dutifully take their places behind the public service desks.)

I put away our copy of Ronald Reagan's Reign of Error three times tonight. *snerk*

Much too much to get done tonight, so I didn't do any of it. How's that for procrastination?

[livejournal.com profile] lissinthecity will be in town tomorrow! *bounces* I can't wait to meet her (and [livejournal.com profile] rachet too, hopefully)!

Well, if you were off, you wouldn't have to watch the funeral. I think you should make a cabinet display of said volume!

Give Liss a hug from me too (and take one for yourself!).

But if it came down to either watching or working, I'd say work would win out in most cases.

I did watch the funeral service, and it was sad. I love the Navy's 'missing man' maneuver.

*hugs back*

I've been sick of Let's Kiss Reagan's Embalmed Ass since the day he actually died. I wasn't alive most of the time he was in office, but I have no respect for the man.

Not that I was expecting any mail tomorrow anyway, but there ya go.

I am loving your icon...muchly!

As for Reagan...don't get me started. At the time I thought that he was a great president...I was in college and figured I had the world by the balls. He filled our heads with what we wanted to hear, but so much damage was done.

Too true - some of his fiscal irresponsibility took a decade to fix (and only a year to send back to the dogs).

And they're talking about putting his face on Mount Rushmore and/or the $10 bill. Gah, I'm appalled.

***And even Nancy disagrees. Damn...Alexander Hamilton would be rolling in his grave.
