Well, not really. Okay, sort of. I think it's a hormonal/illness thing along with my very own Big Obnoxious Fiance. I've been trying to keep the apartment clean and together. I'm a proponent of the 15-minute plan - do what you can in one room in 15 minutes - and it's been working very well. He's been wholly unsupportive of this, no compliments on how nice the place looks (and it does look 1000% better). At least he's not undermining my efforts. Yet.

Honeybunch is passive-aggressive, which is why I'd expect him to undermine my efforts (mainly because he claims to espouse 'clean as you go', meaning he cleans what he wants and I take care of the rest). I'm just wibbling, understand. Most of the time he's just lovely, cleans and does laundry. I must be stealing his thunder (or at least his whining rights). But right now, he's being moody and angsty and hyper-sensitive. Grrr.

1. I think the gall bladder has to go. I've been experiencing some crippling stomach pain lately, and it's not getting better with diet change. At first I thought it might be residual stress from work/BOF. But now it's looking more and more like gall bladder trouble for sure. Woe. I'm going to hold off as long as I can though, since I don't have enough sick time to take off for the surgery.

2. Took my teenage cousins out for their prom dresses over the weekend. I love them so. They're twins but look nothing alike; they won the 'least resemblance' category at the Twinsville festival every year they went. We have two personalities, athletic and girly, and two totally different colorations, pale/blonde and olive/brunette. Seven hours, three malls. *collapses*

My aunt and uncle aren't working right now. My aunt has a tendency to not work as much as possible. My uncle was just laid off from his job. One of the girls worked up the courage to call my sister and talk to her about prom. So, Mal said she'd buy them their dresses.

I try not to get angry at my family. They are who they are and I have to accept that. Thankfully the girls are desperate to get away from the place they grew up and into the city - Columbus, that is. My sister and I have been slowly introducing the idea of moving down here and going to college, trying to show them how much better life is when you have an education and live in an area where jobs are plentiful. Little pop culture lessons (although they dress like Christina and Britney) and such. This weekend they had what was probably their first real experience with sit-down dining. Their hometown has a Bob Evans, and their family can't afford that. Everything is brand-new to them, even things like Applebee's and going out for breakfast; they watched us so closely for social cues so they wouldn't mess up and feel like hicks. All in all, it's a good thing, I think. God, I hope they get out of that place.

3. All apologies to [livejournal.com profile] 1anonymous1 for never being on AIM. Combo of RL, nutty stalker boy, and fatigue. Will try harder, Cait! I'm fine, I promise.

4. Went temporarily color blind yester day and wore black pants with blue socks. :-P

5. I have to close the rest of this week and work both Saturday and Sunday. >:O *hates*

The first episodes of American Idol so funny. Scooter girl = totally nutso. I quit paying attention after the bad people leave, but these first few shows crack me up.

And I'm going to miss 24 tonight! *cries*

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] hastyent has created [livejournal.com profile] hp_ohio! So, [livejournal.com profile] dreamsome, [livejournal.com profile] kaputla, what are you waiting for?

Hope you all are having a better time of it! >:D

I'm hoping that these girls are part of the last generation of the inbreds. If they don't end up pregnant before they graduate high school, I consider that a grand success. :)
