Happy New Year!
I am safely ensconced at home for the New Year. I have a superstition about New Years Eve; I rarely go out or ring in the year with a huge fanfare. Actually, I can only think of one instance where I've been away from home on New Years, and I spent it dragging a passed-out friend a quarter-mile back from the equipment barn to the house, said friend puking all the way.
Sorry,
hastyent and
1anonymous1, to have missed the two of you tonight.
Since I hadn't mentioned it before, Honeybunch brought home a kitten on Christmas. She - we named her Molly - lived next door to Honeybunch's parents, with neighbors who never fed or neutered their animals. So, we got her. She's gray and black, with white rings around her eyes. Too cute. Bernie and Omar are not amused; Bernie wants the new kitty to like him and Omar is jealous that his sister has claws. It's been much fun to provoke them into fighting with each other. :>
So, we're at home with the 'kids' waiting for pizza to get here and the ball to drop. Here's to hoping, once again, that 2004 is a better year for all of you!

Spent it much in the same way
Date: 2004-01-01 10:22 am (UTC)I would love to get a new puppy, but I sincerely doubt the dog would stand for it. I'd really like to try, though. *sigh* Maybe I will give it a go this year sometime. (I swore that my next dog would be an older rescue dog since they are harder to place than a puppy, though.)
Quit looking at the username crosseyed and check out the entries. You know who this is.
