And not in a good way either. My final paycheck from my old employer is being sent out at the end of the month, not directly deposited. They will not let me pick it up from the downtown office. (Un) helpful payroll clerk would not give me a straight answer as to whether it would go into the mail on Monday night, Tuesday morning, or if the check would be sent out to the remote site (my former physical location) before being dropped into the mail. Called out to old AA, who has done nothing to my timecard to be sure it was ready for processing today. Grr.

I don't get my paycheck from the library until Friday the fourth. Every bill aside from my student loans are due on either the first or the second. So, I'm looking at close to a grand hitting a nearly empty account in the next week. My LJ account expires on the first as well *waves bye to extra icons* So, bleh.

Have been getting calls from my old co-workers, trying to figure out how in the world I figured out the mess that they are now in. Amusing and irritating at the same time. May post about that later.

Hugs to [livejournal.com profile] siriologist, who sure could use them about now (and Wonder Woman Underoos and cape).

Oh, dear. Hang in there.

There's no way that you can call the companies and ask them to defer for one week on the bills coming due the week you will run short? Most are fairly decent about things like that.

Thanks for the hugs. Am feeling much better today, even if there is a dead rat in the building that noone seems to want to acknowledge. Works wonders on my already non-existent appetite.

Are your bills set up for automatic withdrawal from your account? Eeep, if so. You might talk to the bank and see if they can help. I don't know what kind of penalties you might be faced with. It can't hurt to alert all the people you owe and the bank, just in case. Good luck. I hate it when people don't give a shit and they just follow a blind procedure. :::hugs back:::
