Went to the Ohio State Fair today. Mullets aplenty and KFCs galore, yessiree bob. Ate chocolate covered crickets and grubs, and cheese-flavored grubs just to gross out my girls. Worked like a charm. The chocolates taste like Crunch bars, and the cheese grubs like pork rinds (yech). Definitely want to try chocolate-covered grasshoppers.

Other than that, I ate:
Corn dog
roasted corn on the cob
couple bites of elephant ear
half of a pork tenderloin
scoop of vanilla ice cream
pint of milk
footlong hot dog with cole slaw

I need an eating buddy so I can sample more stuff - I hate throwing away perfectly good food just because I don't want to fill up.

Won a prize at the 'guess your age' booth. Love that game *grin* He says 18, I win a prize! *beams*

Oh, and applied for job with my old library (I used to be a shift manager in the circ department) - for a Circulation Supervisor position. The human resources manager (even though we're very busy, it's a suburban library system, so we all know each other) called me for an interview less than six hours after getting my app and resume in. Squee - it's more money, five minutes from my house, v. little bean counting, and I'd be managing again! The hours are kind of sucky (as public library hours are) - probably 1-9 Monday and Tuesday, 9-6 Wednesday and Thursday, and alternate Fridays/Saturdays 9-6. But yay! I won't have to drive 35 miles each way or deal with going back to Army Regulations for a job. Would be sad to leave my nice boss, who has been wonderful to me, when she really needs help. *wrings hands* They are posting another position as an assistant for her, and I'll apply for that if I don't get the circ supervisor job. *bounces*
