Crazy Days of Summer
Jul. 10th, 2003 10:52 amTried to make an entry on Monday, but the heavens were against me, being as LJ ate my first attempt, then got locked out of my account at work and had to call IT and shut all of my programs down, taking my second entry with it. And of course, I got shut out because of something completely idiotic that I did (changed my password within the framework of a remote host from the main office, which created two passwords for my account, and automatically shutting it down). I love calling IT with that sort of stuff.
Went to Cedar Point on the 4th - 'tis the absolute best day to go, hands down. Lines were short, but unfortunately the Top Thrill Dragster wasn't in operation (I doubt it comes back up to anything like a regular schedule before the end of the season), but we rode Millennium Force (the only ride we had to wait for, a little over an hour), the Wicked Twister, a few smaller coasters, and the Magnum XL-200. I still love going up the hill on a chain! Something like a monsoon blew through (funny, it looked like a bad Godzilla movie, with everyone running for shelter) and we ended up snaking past fallen trees to get out of Sandusky. Helluva storm.
Have had many wibbly thoughts about Nimbus. I think it's just my fear of being the fifth wheel, or intruding where I'm not completely welcome. Everyone seems to know each other already, been in the fandom longer, and have made a bigger impact than I. *meeble* Okay, done with that. I'll be over it by the time I get down there, I just needed to get it in writing so my paranoia doesn't take me over completely.
Must clean, clean, clean this weekend. I hate to come home to a messy house, so it has to get done in the next couple of days before I start packing.
Have a good tan base on my arms and legs from CP and the Indians game Honeybunch and I went to a couple of weeks ago but burnt my back in the tanning bed last night. *sigh* I totally got locked out of my family's good tanning genes. My sister is so dark that she isn't even pretending to pass anymore, and taking the comments in stride.

endogenousardor, but alas, I am way too impatient to give it a proper go. Did manage it twice yesterday, however. Times: 14 minutes and 21 minutes. It's gonna take a while to build up to what, 133 minutes? Darn it all. :D I'll just have to keep practicing and building up my time!
