I must say that I am jealous of all of you who get time off for the holidays.  *grump*  Work 'til 5 tomorrow, then again on the 26th, once more on the 31st (although taking time out of the middle of the day for HP-Ohio goodness), then yay, no more holidays until MLK Day.  *fwumps*

All of my money has been spent, and there are still some presents to buy.  They're not going to get bought.  Oh well.  That's what birthdays are for.

Why no, I'm NOT doing the shiny happy people meme, why do you ask??

I am doing the end-of-year meme, though.
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Visited Rockefeller Center and Times Square, visited Dallas.  Ran a half-marathon; became a runner.  Placed in a couple of races.  Opened a savings account for my abdominoplasty money.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make resolutions.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, my friend Shannon.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, and thank goodness for that.  My brother tried his damnest.

There are so many, about one a week!  Highlights: the half-marathon, Jes' birthday party, Flogging Molly concert, getting a new job, starting a new job, Halloween High Ball, placing at the Dead Celeb 5K, and New York at Christmastime with friends.  :-)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Landing an awesome new job with a great boss, better pay, and more job security than I have any right to.

Let's not dwell on the negative, shall we?

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
For the first time in a LONG time, no.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

Probably that damn Katy Perry song.

Take back the city for yourself tonight, and I'll take back the city for me
