Unhappy campers this way.
Jul. 25th, 2008 09:49 pmMy in-laws are coming over for dinner on Sunday. First time at our place - after nearly seven years of living here.
*frantic cleaning*
*frantic searching for a table that seats 4*
I didn't find out about this until last Sunday, which is okay. Then of course, Andy's brother is coming too. Cool. We have an extra chair 'round here.
Not cool? Andy's brother invites a friend of his to come, too. You know, because the invitation was open-ended. Said friend...has...issues. Like not being 100% sane issues.
Andy's brother is 34 years old. He should know better. Should.
>:-( <--this is my unhappy harpy face
*frantic searching for very small card table and another chair to accommodate extra last-minute person*
Upside is the house is SPOTLESS, dehaired, and we have new pillows, throw rugs, and chair pads.
Bad news is that the blood will end up splattering all over our nice, clean apartment.
In other news, They are transferring another Team Leader to take my place, and only about 43604601 people have asked me if they thought the TL job was worth applying for.
Uh, if you're a masochist have a useless liberal arts degree, be my guest. Otherwise.
I've already been pulled into the Manager's office and reamed out for all rumors that are flying around about why I'm leaving. I had to inform her about this thing called gossip and how it works.
Mentally, I'm worlds away from the way I felt even a month ago...know how, when you come out of a depression, only then do you realize how BAD things had really been? I have felt this way since summer 2006. TWO FREAKING YEARS. Holy shit.
My energy level is through the roof. Up at 4:30 this morning to clean, I was singing along with the radio in the car loud enough to entertain others, went shopping, ran 6 miles, slept an hour, hit the stores again, made dinner, and I'm winding down for bed.
Gotta say, I've missed me!
Terminus hotel room is now taken care of...looking to either buy/trade a registration, and then scout some places to look for decent parking. I've been lucky in the past, and assume that I will be again. (Overly optimistic, yes?) V.v. excited to see everyone, especially
roguebitch,
rlanto,
smilie117 and the rest of you all! :)
Have a good weekend, youse guys!

Date: 2008-07-26 02:50 am (UTC)Well I guess it depends on where your staying...but yes, parking downtown is typically a bitch, especially if its a weekday. Weekends can be easier since your not fighting with the work crowd for a space. Good luck!
