Guess what? I got a callback for a second interview for a job I think I would enjoy, going in on Friday to talk to them again. Hooray! *shakes tailfeathers*
Sitting here listening to Viva la Vida...I don't really like the piano as a front instrument, but I love Chris Martin's musicality, not allowing it to overpower the other instruments. Dunno.
Oh yeah, I saw Wanted yesterday. In my typical fashion, I could see no real allure in James McAvoy - just another Scotch pretty boy with too-perfect facial hair. But ZOMG, when he's looking rough - dark circles, day-old beard, a little scratched up - yeah, RAWR. I think I made noise every time he hit the screen like that. No more showers for you, sir!
Angelina Jolie looked horrific. If the camera adds ten pounds, *shudder* She had no hips, no waist. The only thing curvy about her was her pout. :-(
Bring on Senor Bale The Dark Knight!
Still struggling with Twilight...I'm hoping that the next disc, then the next, maybe the next, will yield something that I can get with. Lost cause, I wonder?
So, how you all doing?

I've thought about seeing 'Wanted' but I think I'll wait for the DVD.

Date: 2008-07-17 03:57 am (UTC)I haven't read Twilight. I sort of want to, but I also sort of don't want to put myself through the torture.

Date: 2008-07-17 04:29 am (UTC)James McAvoy has really grown on me. He seems very boyish. So boyish, in fact, that I feel a bit pervy fantasizing about him. That doesn't stop me, however.

Date: 2008-07-17 06:50 am (UTC)Twilight, well... it doesn't really have that many redeeming qualities and it gets worse in the sequels. I have so many issues with the fucked up-ness of the relationships people have with each other, with the stupidity of some of the characters and just, gnarrh.
But I've still re-read it several times now. When I could've read good stuff or at least new stuff instead. Maybe the crack on the pages is not just in the writing?

Date: 2008-07-17 01:16 pm (UTC)I want to like the Twilight series. I put myself through to the third when I finally took a break. I've come to the conclusion that I absolutely HATE Bella. I like a good many of the other characters, but Bella seriously rubs me the wrong way. I might try picking it up again later if I run out of things to read.
