Ack, I've turned (have always been?) into the person who only blogs when she's feeling emo and goth and stuff.
Yesterday's high has bottomed out, and now I feel pretty damned hopeless. Potential job is no longer probable, I can't seem to get anything right anymore. Blah, blah, blah.
So what's good? I still have a job, I have my second job, my car still runs, I'm not pregnant, my husband hasn't run off with Claire Danes, I got my hair cut (and it looks CUTE), and I'm going to run my arse off after work tonight.
Pity party over. So, cheer me up (and maybe yourself, too) - what's GOOD in your life? What upcoming event are you excited about - Portus, Terminus, vacation?

Date: 2008-05-02 04:36 pm (UTC)Good things: It's Friday, I'm doing Chick-Fil-A for lunch, and despite yet ANOTHER round of tornadic weather in my vicinity last night, my home and car still haven't blown away. ;)
Yikes, Portus really is coming up soon, isn't it? I guess I need to start begging for people to split a room with. ;)

Date: 2008-05-02 07:05 pm (UTC)Sunday the husband (three months, eeeee!) and I and two people who are quickly becoming great friends are going to go to Busch Gardens in Tampa. The drive will be just long enough to have a roadtripping good time. Then on the way home we're going to try to find a restaurant that serves yummy chicken wings. I always feel nervous and awkward about eating them but end up enjoying myself with reckless twang.
Suspicions are high that this is going to be the last weekend before the grass is hot enough to burn yo feet in the FL, so I am gung ho to enjoy the niceness while it lasts. :>

Grilling vegetables on the hibachi

Date: 2008-05-02 07:53 pm (UTC)Haha, oh, sweetie! >:D< *big hugs* Srsly, when I posted to my own journal last night, I was thinking this EXACT. SAME. THING. But, you know, I needed to vent. And so do you, so feel free!
Well, I'm looking forward to seeing Duran Duran on the 12th and Peter Murphy in early June. A group of us ended up getting tickets to the LA Yaz show in July, so I'm looking forward to a small trip to So. Calif. Saturday is my son's 10th birthday and I'm looking forward to him having a good day :D
Still debating Portus.

Date: 2008-05-04 08:36 pm (UTC)Something good....My boss gave us a small jet boat. We went and picked it up today. I see lots of afternoons on the water this summer. Should be a fun way to spend the season. If not, then plenty of photo opportunities. :)

Date: 2008-05-05 08:43 am (UTC)Something good, let's see - have bought our tickets home (but still have to worry about the cats) and I'll be spending Hallowe'en in the US, which I will be hella excited about as the time draws nearer. I'm still sick so I don't have much enthusiasm right now, but I will!
