Quicky updateage:

First, MSNBC moved Countdown With Keith Olbermann from its repeat time of 12m to 2am.  FAIL.  :-(

Second, I've been having some major acne issues.  Like cystic acne on my chin and forehead.  I'm afraid that it might be MRSA - these places keep popping up all over, and they just migrate around and make me miserable.

Right now, I'm using toothpaste to try and dry them out, and OOOOOOWWWWW it burns.  Very hurty.  But I've tried everything from Clearasil to Bactine to Neutrogena to Mario Badescu and nothing has worked.  My doctor will probably poo-poo me about it, but I've never had anything like this before, not even when I was a teenager.

A few friends and I went to Claddaugh for St. Patty's Day.  The band they had, however, only played crappy 80s rock.  Boo!  V. v. disappointing first time out on an Amateur Drinker's Holiday.  LOL

In better news, work is improving.  Now that I'm not taking any shit and pulling no punches, well.  My boss has no idea what to do with that, aside from back down.  Sweet.  :-)

Also, I'm very ready for my half-marathon.    The training is in the brutal stage - I have to do 10 miles on Friday - and I'd rather just get the 13.1 miles over with so I don't have to do it ever again!

It is *still* raining here.  Spring, spring, where are you?

Oh hai!  A picture of the Trio from HBP.

I won't be posting on Friday, but more because I'll be busy than any statement of protest.  LJ admin are arses, true, but it's their site and I can get my pr0n about anywhere, heh.

Love you all, I'm reading a little when I can make the tubes work for me.

In my experience, acne isn't something that comes and goes quickly. I've never had a big acne problem, but I'm 22 now, and I've had the last signs of it dribbling away for years now.

My recommendation would be to keep on trying one of the soaps for about a month. Don't worry about the toothpaste; that hurts and isn't really that much more effective than soap anyway. If they aren't gone by then, see a dermatologist, who would be trained to deal with that sort of thing (unlike your general practitioner).

Ouch on the acne. Let's hope it's not MRSA, that stuff is supposedly nasty.

Great picture of the trio! I read nothing about Ginny though and that makes me worry. Especialy since Ginnny kicks butt in HBP :)

Good luck on the marathon! Wow, I'm so impressed that you're doing this :D

I have the feeling that she's going to be part of that movie-curse, where Ron never plays Quidditch and neither does Ginny. :\

I just wrote out an answer to you, but when I looked over it, I squinched up my nose and said *EW*! TMI for me in public! :P I left you a private entry on my journal.

I'm glad that work is improving for you! I'm still hoping that you can find a way to follow your bliss a bit more, but having the current situation improve is a good thing. :)

Thanks for the info!

I'm hoping that I have the intestinal fortitude to withstand the evil that is my boss. It's not too bad, but I have to be on top of my game all the time.

Oh, BASTARDS! I was just assuming that he was on vacation this week or something and that's why it wasn't on at midnight. He's my go-to guy for "didn't fall asleep during Colbert."

Burt's Bees makes a blemish stick (two kinds, actually) that help with that.

I also discovered I am allergic to something in neosporin, so had to find another antibacterial ointment to treat mine.

I've got some migrating along the right side of my face right now. I thought maybe it was just my oily hair or that I might be touching my face at work a lot, recently.

I totally feel you on the acne. But fer srs, the toothpaste is baaaaaad. It does have a drying property, but it is probably also really irritating your skin and thus making it worse. Have you tried Proactiv? I know all their commercials are cheesy and it's pretty pricey, but I've used it for years now and it's the only thing that has really given me overall good benefits.

It's not perfect (I do still break out sometimes), but what I like about it is that it's a system. What I found with other products (including prescriptions) is that often they can be really harsh and that I'll need to use lotion and stuff like that and it's hard to tell what is good and what isn't. So with Proactive you have the whole system working together to treat the acne. It's pretty gentle, another big plus since a lot of acne treatments are quite harsh.

For the love of all that is holy, stay away from the Murad Acne Complex. Omggggggg it destroyed my face and gave me the worst acne I've ever had. It was very harsh and just horrible.
