*pokes head out of hidey-hole* Fandom still assploding? 6A still being ignorant blowhards?
Ah, okay, situation normal, then. :-P
This month I managed to have one Saturday and one Sunday off, which means that I have Wednesdays and Fridays off. Not too shabby; I can get things done at the Lodge on regular time and plenty of time to do things like the fair, climbing, and watching moooovies.
FYI - these are cut for spoilers and such. Duh.
I really, really hope they don't make any more Bourne movies. This one was a good end to the franchise and left the viewer with just enough to keep them thinking. They did do a lot of glossing over - how in the heck did he get out of the CIA building - and I didn't feel satisfied with the amount of backstory they gave. But then again, I can always write fanfic, eh?
There was also the awkward, "you really don't remember, do you?" in the cafe and I just wasn't feeling the whole Nikki/Jason vibe there. I was very glad they didn't push that piece of the story. No kissing in the action movies, kthx.
Also, David Strathairn? His voice is pure sex. Almost as good as Alan Rickman's.
I guess I loved The Simpsons until I became a full-fledged adult, then it kind of fell away as less-than-edgy. I dunno. The movie was...like a long episode of the show, LOL. Poor Marge, she should have divorced Homer ten years ago - I bet she'd be a lot happier for it! They kept sticking obvious "hey, here's a catchphrase from the show" pieces in, which reminded me of Deathly Hallows in a way, shoring things up canonically as best they could while keeping continuity.
Seeing this the other day has pretty much sentenced me to see it again with Honeybunch, since he is being seriously antisocial and will not hang out with anyone aside from me. Which is really annoying at times. Grump.
I'd put off watching this because on the whole, I'm not into the whole 007 franchise. However: Daniel Craig is one seriously sexy piece of mancandy. Holy frijoles. It was worth slogging through the stilted dialogue and cheese to see him on the beach, frolicking in the surf...*mind wanders*
I also am in possession of Driving Lessons, which I believe I'll need to watch solo. And Perfume, with the Other Voice of Sex, Alan Rickman. Hmmm.
Yeah, my life, so exciting. Hopefully it'll stay that way for a little bit and I can enjoy the rest of my summer in peace!
