I did get to ask Jon Stewart a few questions at the reading I went to.  My questions were prefaced by my thanks for making it okay to actually READ the newspaper again.  Jon immediately perked up and said, "Do you do the crossword puzzles?"

"Of course!  Both of them!" I said, surprised.

"The word scramble, too?"

"Yup, I do everything, even the Sudoku!"

"Cool!"

Today I got in a movie on reserve called Wordplay, which is a documentary about Will Shortz, the New York Times Crossword Puzzle, and its fans.  One of those fans is Jon. 

Now, that whole riposte makes sense.  :)

That's so exciting! I hate being fangirlish about it but I totally am - I gave an internal squee at the exchange. Not out loud though, so I'm somewhat comforted. Yaye! I love the crosswords. Plus I read that they're supposed to be good for the brain and possibly reduce the chance of senility and such.
