I was about to start shouting, "Where the hell is 'Steel Magnolias' and 'Erin Brockovich'?" But then I looked them up and they were released in 1989 and 2000, respectively.

I really can't stand Julia Roberts though, she irritates me. Damn good actress, but she irritates me when she isn't acting. Same with Gweneth Paltrow. Love their movies, can't tolerate them...

And then I thought of 'Almost Famous'. But that's 2000 as well.

Kate Hudson chaps my ass too...

I feel like I should be on a front porch sitting in a rocking chair like an old woman talking about all this...

"Yep, that one pisses me off too..."

Hmmm. Where did that list come from? I certainly wouldn't rank Schindler's List as #1. Too manipulative. I don't like being led by the nose.

Plus - No Mars Attacks! Heh.

There are also some excellent movies on there you should see, woman!

If you've never seen Unforgiven, hop to it. That's one of my all time favorites. It's moral ambiguity on the cusp of the dying era of the old west. Great flick. The themes can be applied to any era, any set of values, any sort of people. It's powerful stuff from Clint Eastwood. Gene Hackman is incredible in the movie as well. It stays with you a long, long time.

Princess Mononoke will take your breath away. It's from Studio Ghibli, which is one of the premier animation studios in Japan. Neil Gaiman refined the translated script and Billy Bob Thorton did a voice for them, etc... Rent this. You won't regret it. It is spellbinding.

Off to do this myself...
