Does it always take forever to dl torrents? I mean, it's 1.25GB, but it's been almost 24 hours! :(

I need a Jon/Stephen fix to take my mind off the monthlies. *stabs things randomly*

Spring is here. We cooked out for the first time (after spending 45 minutes trying to light the ceramic bricks we left in the grill from last year *facepalm*), and I had my first ice-cream-preservative-induced spew fest. Whyyyy can't I eat soft serve ice cream? :((

Tomorrow I start back on the healthy eating bandwagon. I cut out chocolate last week (made it, too!) and this week, cutting back on preservatives and carbs.

Such is life. Boring!

It generally depends on how many other people are in the swarm: the more you're downloading from, the less time it takes to get the whole torrent. This isn't necessarily guaranteed, but it's usually the case.

It says it's "seeding". 0 of 3 connected in the seed swarm, 4 of 4 peers connected and 0 in the swarm there...

Clearly I understand nothing!

>:O I just wanna watch TDS.

Hm, sounds like you're just going to have to be patient. At least there'll be an episode on tomorrow!

I know this is late, but better late than blahblahblah.

It's completely normal and with those numbers, it could take you a long, long time. I uploaded a 4 gig file a while ago at a rate that wasn't so hot and it took me nearly a week of nonstop connection. Then I had to match the ratio so I wasn't a dirty leech.

Gah. It sux when your file has a crappy rate.

Eating healthy is boring - but a sometimes necessity. :-) Are you going to cut out chocos this week too?

Yup, chocolate once every 10 days is the new rule.

I gotta work on the weight again and this insulin that I'm on is causing me nothing but grief.

How do you go about losing weight? I've tried but to no avail. I am not gaining but I'm not losing either.

I am very careful to count calories. I use www.sparkpeople.com to track calories in and calories out. Typically that means no fast food, no peanut butter (gah!) and no chocolate. Veggies and pickles I can go all out on - they are light on the calories.

Then I work out like a mad woman.

It's all about calories!

I try to get the 30 minutes daily that the USDA recommends. My typical week:

Monday/Tuesday - hour each day on Arc Trainer (~700cal/hr)
Wednesday - spinning (cycling) class (~500cal/hr)
Thursday - hour on Arc Trainer
Friday/Sat - 30 minutes whatever
Sunday - off day most of the time

My downfall is eating at night, and eating peanut butter and chocolate. Right now I'm combating that with loads of veggies and water. Tough!

*Pets* Poor dear! If it makes you feel any better, today I'm starting a three-day detox consisting of only lean protein and fruit. (If nothing else, should get a good dose of antioxidants. But still.)

Life is boring here too, but thanks for poking me to start using my LJ again. Unfortunately, that means everyone has to, you know, hear about my boring life. ^_~

You can detox and still eat protein? I thought juice fasting was all the rage!

Of course we want to hear about your life! :D

Well... okay, so it's protein shakes. Maybe they don't really count. But it calls for 6 ounces of chicken the first night. (Sadly, you get none after that for the next two days.)

Wibble. I like protein!
