Woo, Christmas baking out of the way. Made an obscene amount of fudge which I am not going to eat quit calling to me I'll take over to my sister's house tomorrow. Most of the local family will be coming over for our Christmas celebration. It saves the kids having to travel all over God's muddy earth on Christmas Day and with all the blending of families and such, it makes sense.

Also, made latkes. I love potato pancakes so much I want to marry them and have their little kugel babies. *munches*

Dress shopping, cut for those uninterested in bridal squeeage )

My sister and I also took the opportunity to clean our bank accounts of extra money. She finished her Christmas shopping (mainly by finishing up her harassment of the SportMart salesmen by making her fourth trip to the golf department and demanding they give her the clubs she wanted for less than $200) and the two of us began a buying frenzy for our possibly-married (my SIL hasn't heard from Stevie as yet) niece. She needs everything, so we hit Target, Dollar General and Lazarus and bought her all manner of stuff. That girl is hooked up! The first thing she needs is a fire extinguisher and instructions to put out a grease fire, 'cause that girl can't cook. :D

Details are trickling in. Her husband is leaving for the Middle East (!) early in the New Year, thus their motivation for getting married - he wanted her to be taken care of. I hope that's it and not the pitter-patter of little feet. *grimace* But what's done is done and we're behind her 100% as always.

It's 2:50 am. It's gonna be a long day today. *snores*
