Early on in my travels through the realm of HP fanfiction I found the greatest little Draco/Ginny story (and here you can even look at Orli dressed as a cowboy while you read -*rowr*) - The Past Didn't Go Anywhere (http://www.fearthainn.com/stories.html) by Fearthainn. Certainly one of the best characterizations in the fandom for Draco, and I think her Harry is well-interpreted.

I am disturbed (quite a bit, might I add) by the similarities Fearthainn and I share. It was so uncomfortable that I put off LJ-ing since I felt that she was already occupying a niche in the fandom. I can appreciate the music of Fiona Apple and I'm tall and brown-eyed. These are the few divergences. If this has ever happened to you, you can appreciate the weirdness of it. Good thing she's a much better writer than I!

Erm, if I have a niche, it's a pretty small niche. My main fannish contribution is writing...I'm not very active otherwise. But I'll shove over, I'm sure you'll fit too. ;) Welcome to LJ! (And thank you for the plug...glad you liked TPDGA! Someone who actually likes my Harry! *dies from shock*)

Yep, liked Harry. I was re-reading today and realized that I totally forgot about Ginny's transformation! SHE is the best part of the story - you gave her such a realistic progression from idealistic young girl who marries her schoolgirl crush to grown woman realizes that he can't give her what she wants. I think I cling to your Draco and Harry because they are nearly always OOC and rarely believable. TPDGA makes them human to me.

Don't worry, I promise to carve out my own niche eventually!
