Nov. 15th, 2005 12:05 amAwake and aware tonight after an entire weekend of insomnia. Damn it, I need to sleep! Having to wait for The Daily Show and The Colbert Report only makes it worse.
In order to maintain my sanity, I've found that I have to have a laugh about the news lest I go 'round the bend. I didn't begin watching TDS until a couple of months ago - and now I don't remember why not. *ponders* I don't know why, really. It's not fake news, just faked-out news.
I've completely stopped screaming at the TV. Well, almost. When I saw the CNN news ticker this morning - "Peacekeeper killed in Afghanistan" - I almost had a stroke. How dare the media lessen the impact of those SOLDIERS in Afghanistan or intimate that they're less a) violent or b) at risk than any other armed forces personnel. If you're in a foreign country and you're armed, you are a SOLDIER, NOT a peacekeeper. Grr. Arrgh.
Honeybunch knocked over my fung shui candles. They're all out of sync. He is spatially challenged. :P

*sigh*
