They're playing Death Cab for Cutie on VH1, and I heard "Soul Meets Body" on CD101 this afternoon.

Weezer's "Beverly Hills" was playing on WNCI when I flipped past yesterday.

Could someone please come over and kill me so I don't have to listen to 50 people tell me about "this cool new band!" or "the new Weezer song!" Ack.

How are we to maintain our snobbish musical superiority if everybody keeps discovering all the best bands? *snerk*

Next thing you know, Postal Service will be on TRL and Sufjan Stevens will be playing Leno.

i don't know if you've heard of the servant, or rory merritt stitt, or mercury, but i could send you stuff by all of them if you like. also venus hum, or apartment 26, or eisley, but those would have to wait till i got home. also some old favorites which nobody seems to enjoy anymore are crowded house, semisonic, the cure, depeche mode.....

I love Sufjan Stevens. Nothing is nicer than driving around country roads listening to their windchimey songs.

Hahahahahahaa. Oh man, when did indie rock beome so cool?

But for real, I think you might like Bright Eyes. Or maybe just this one song, called "Let's Not Shit Ourselves (To Love and Be Loved)." So check him out, unless you already know him. I swear, his voice grows on you.

I like Bright Eyes...okay. I'm not big into the emo thing. Is that song on "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning"?

I know, he is so whiny sometimes but somehow, I woke up one morning and I liked him. I blame subliminal messages in his songs. But that song's on "Lifted; or the story is in the soil keep your ear to the ground," a.k.a. unnecessarily long album title.
