I should really be getting to bed. There's a staff meeting tomorrow, two interviews, and then an advisory board meeting. Gah.

But, anyway. I thought you all might like some random crap in the midst of all the head-exploding goodness.

-Honeybunch bought Diet Dr Pepper today *eyes shiftily* You didn't hear that.
-My younger sister's baby shower (did I mention that? She's due in November, near my birthday) is this weekend. Oh, the joy of overbearing relatives and super-controlling co-hostesses. My sister's mother-in-law asked if she should bring wine...lol.
-OSU v. Texas Saturday! W00t!
-I have discovered the joy that is Van's Waffles. They're vegan, and they are yum-my!

I'm trying to go at least semi-vegetarian. It's just healthier, and I have a hard time digesting most meat now. Tofu has been my friend these last few months, because you can't live on Zone bars as a source of protein forever. Nearly killed myself eating tomato sandwiches, after seeing [livejournal.com profile] roguebitch post about them...totally worth the gaping holes in my stomach, though.

Question: do any of you ever copy tracks to your PC, only to discover them missing later? This is happening to me quite a bit, and I wonder if RealPlayer is pulling them off for some reason. These aren't pirated, either. Grr.

Hugs and love to:

And with that, to bed.

That it is. There's even a word for it. Flexitarian! Years ago, while traveling I went vegan, but it's too difficult to stick to when your husband and kids eat meat. So I just have meat maybe twice a week, and enjoy vegetarian most of the time. I always order vegetarian when we eat out, because it's something different, tasty, and healthier than the usual fair.

Yes, that's me - flexitarian! They just opened up a Whole Foods Market close by, which is a plus.

Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! \:D/

♥ Thank you. And hope the baby shower goes well! Is she having a theme?

Thankfully, no theme. She's having a girl (Natalie Elizabeth) and we're having it at her neighbor's house. It's been one thing after another, though, business as usual! lol

Love your icon!

Oh, I once saw an article with a TV actress who had a book theme -- everyone was asked to bring their favourite childhood book for the baby's library and they all got a copy of the couple's favourite book in return, which I thought was lovely.

And yay for Natalie Elizabeth! Hope it all goes well.

W000t! Hooray for nationally-televised games that won't be interrupted to show us some other game because nobody on the east coast cares about the Big 10!

Nope, too much acid in the tomatoes, especially fresh ones.

I am SO sorry my rhapsodizing about my tomato sandwich caused you such pain! I hope they were at least briefly enjoyable.

Oh, totally worth it - sun-warmed tomato slices on toast with mayo, salt and pepper. Yum.

Dude, you should seriously try Arrowhead Mills multi-grain waffle and pancake mix. It is teh shit. I usually add a couple of teaspoons of turbinado sugar when I mix it up, but they make killer waffles and pancakes! I don't know if they sell it where you are, but try to find it because it's the best.
