Damn, that was too easy.  The most annoying part of voting was all the curmudgeon-y old people complaining about the poll workers.

But considering that the poll worker listed the wrong authority to vote number in his record, maybe that'll make up for it.  *eg*

ETA: No, I didn't go to the MoveOn PAC table. They can check the voting roster later and see that I voted.

I think that being really stupid is part of the qualification for being a poll worker. The lady at my poll told me adamantly that I wasn't registered, even though she was looking in the Ha's, and my name starts with He.

Funny how, when she looked at the right page, my vote was magically there- it does make me worry though, about people who are already intimidated by the voting process. Anyhow, regardless of how you voted- hurray for you for making your opinion count!!! :D

I seriously considered not voting, just to annoy them, for annoying me over the last few weeks. This weekend alone, MoveOn has called me 4 times, and been at my door every single day. *growls* I wanna know how they got my number...

Just out of curiousity, what part of Col's are you in?

I have never been do glad to have given up my land line. I've been hearing horror stories all day about people getting upwards of 5-10 phone calls in the last day or so.

The MoveOn people came by on Sunday night, and seemed suprised that I a) knew my polling location and precinct and b) I told them they already knew I was registered and I'd probably not stop by their table to report my vote.

I live on the northeast side of town, near the corner of Schrock and Karl Roads. We're looking to relocate more centrally once we are ready to buy a house (we've lived in Dublin, Worthington and here, and I regret having ever left Clintonville).

While in line, the MoveOn people came up to us 4 times. Each time, to make sure we knew we were in the right line to vote, and that we weren't going to duck out even though the line was so long. *rolls eyes* Boy, they were obnoxious. But, if they did get even one more person to vote, it was probably worth it.
We live down near the Grandview/UA area. We have looked at places in Clintonville, but it seems like one of those neighborhoods where there are some really GOOD places to live, and there are some really BAD places to live. Any suggestions?

Sorry I didn't reply to this sooner!

In Clintonville, there honestly aren't many bad places. The worst areas are in the south, around Arcadia/Hudson/Indianola. I don't consider anything east of 71 to be Clintonville, so that eliminates a chunk of real estate with bad ratings.

When I lived on Hudson (between High and Indianola), our neighbors used to shoot at each other when they fought. Fun, fun (especially when I was walking to my graveyard shift at the UDF store).

The best area - nice, but fairly cheap - is the area north of Giant Eagle all the way up to North Broadway. I lived on California Avenue and it was lovely. A lot of the houses also had a Walhalla address, meaning they looked out over the ravine. Bee-u-tiful. And urban, which is what I'm looking for. I hate driving everywhere.
