You may not know me but I'm a BIG fan of your writing. I left the fandom some time ago, but it was your writing which pulled me back. However, I am dismayed to note that I can no longer find your fic 'A Whole New Light'. It's my favourite fiction of all times and I was really hoping you could let me know where it is.
I have also applied to your Yahoo! group, Gryffindor Groupies on more than one occasion, but I was always rejected. Oh well. :( Just letting you know you are a great writer. :)
*grins* I think I was paging through a comm (maybe osu?) and saw your username.
I was like, "Huh. I recall a Katie Ett." so I checked your entries and sure enough, you were she. Your entries were (are) witty, so I thought I'd add you to my list. It's rare to find anyone local that can string two sentences together.
I'm a graduate of TV and OSU and live in Columbus. I'm several years older than you, though I don't know what year you graduated. Your mom and my mom passed away within a short time of each other.
Please feel free to IM me (purebloodgryff on AIM) if you'd like more particulars, like my real name.
I second your notion about the "locals" and their writing. And thanks for the compliment.
It freaked me out when I saw that you're part of the "circleville" community. The fact that a Circleville community exists is enough to freak me out, actually. I'd sure love to see what would happen on an Ashville community.
And finally, I graduated in 2000. I'm definitely interested in finding out who you are, since I can't seem to get anything from your journal entries, so I've added your name to my AIM list. Don't you just love the feeling of being stalked?
Considering up until at least the mid-90s the "Ashville community" was a bulletin board across from the Maytag dealer, I'd say anything would be an improvement.
*crickets chirp*
*laughs* Stalking is somewhat common in the HP fandom, so it just feels like a little extra attention. But really, I added you because I thought you were interesting and I simply read your entries from my flist. I'm one of those weird people without an agenda.
