SMRT Update:  I think I took the Lantus - I'm holding steady in the low 100s (102, 109) over the last hour.

Had some toast (I still haven't gotten around to buying sugared jelly, darnitall) and I feel okay.  Foraging has produced chocolate chips and ice cream sandwiches (bad Honeybunch!).

I think I'll sleep on the couch with the chocolate chips close by.  *nods*

Tomorrow will be fun, I'm sure - now to figure out how much Lantus to take in the morning.  Hm, should probably not take any, since I'm getting 4 units (eek!) an hour until 11am tomorrow, then 2 units until 9pm or so (Lantus is a slow-release insulin that acts over a 24-hour period).  That's a lot of food, especially when you can't drink sugared drinks.  Bah.

Great, I'm going to look like an orca by tomorrow morning having to eat all night long.  :-\

Oh, lordy girl. You're scaring me.

Keep posting. And screw the orca bit--if it keeps you alive, then do it.

*hugs*

I hope you feel better soon. That's really scarey. Happened to a friend of mine and she managed to get an ambulance in time, but it just sucks to realize that being a normal absentminded person can sometimes kill you. I'm really really glad you noticed and didn't just go to sleep without eating.

Oh, who cares what you look like? How are you feeling today? Did you keep everything under control?

Omg!! I totally understand the feeling like an orca. You know what is awful, is that some of the people in my family don't get the low blood sugar thing and how you HAVE to eat like that in order not to DIE. They expect you to be skinny all the time.

Argh. The pressure to be skinny at it's best.

Goodness, sweetie, should you go to the hospital and have them watch you over night?

Feel pretty good, all things considered. Blood levels steady, worked out with no problem (although I skipped spinning, didn't want to push it).

Actually, being hypoglycemic is a big factor in being overweight - any food that you eat gets stored because that's what insulin does, and if you have too much insulin in your blood, well. Having an even blood sugar level is the best.

Yes, I'm lucky that I wake up when my blood sugar goes low - if that didn't happen, I'd have been much worse off. But I live! :D
