Feb. 9th, 2006 01:31 amPhew. This has been the week of a thousand cuts, I swear it.
From the OMGWTFCAR files: This is no way to regain your library privileges
In the random observation of Stephen Colbert: he's either shaved or bleached the hair on his hands. It's a weird thing to notice, but I like hair. Gives a body character. How can I entertain strange fantasies without the visual stimulation required?! :B
Also, I broke down and bought a candle warmer. Well, two. One looks like a hotplate, for smaller candles. The second is big and made for Yankee-style candles. It's like a canister, and the entire cylinder heats up and liquifies the wax. No flame, no drips, and no uneven burning. It is AWESOME. Our entire house smells SO good, even two hours after turning the warmer off. Totally worth the $19.99 + tax.
Spinning has totally taken over my life again. Grammys? Lost? (Yeah, right. I'll be watching it tomorrow before I go into work.) The only drawback is that it makes me ravenous and I have to fight not to chow down everything in sight. Kind of defeats the purpose of exercising. Bad form, body.

Feb. 9th, 2006 11:50 pmAw, Rob Corddry is so cute hosting The Daily Show! :D
( The Random Question Meme! )
How can you not love a meme that builds in an LJ cut?
Is it just me or do books villifying Conservatives or Liberals suck? I try to read these stupid things only to be pissed off and turned off. I just got done with Do As I Say (Not As I Do): Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy.
I think most people understand these concepts:
--If you make over $100K a year, you own stock
--If you make over that, you are actively looking for ways to avoid paying taxes
--Rich Americans are hypocrites as a general rule
No "profile" in this book was surprising. Michael Moore underpays his staff? Ralph Nader has a multi-million dollar home? Noam Chomsky was paid by the DoD?
*yawn*
No Moby? How about Jon Stewart? Couldn't find good dirt on Howard Dean? Instead, we get recycled trash talk about Barbra Streisand and Hillary Clinton. How 1998.
