quidditchgrrl: (You Suck by sra33)
I realized tonight that I hadn't done my requested rants.  Boo on me, but I definitely have a couple of them covered tonight, after a conversation [livejournal.com profile] 1anonymous1 and I had tonight.

Britney Spears, White Trash Princess )

And, as [livejournal.com profile] 1anonymous1 pointed out tonight, J.Lo. is obviously a succubus.  Discuss amongst yourselves.

This weekend has been full of cosmic things and strange karma.

I've been accosted twice by people wanting money.  I'm typically the person who gives homeless people money; I don't believe that bullshit about "they want to be homeless and they all spend their money on drugs/drink."  I didn't have any money for the one (I'd already given away all my change to the other fellas) and the older lady that approached me (and I think [livejournal.com profile] generalmanda too) didn't want to follow me to the gas station, so I had to tell her no, too.

Those are both firsts, I'm happy to say.  And I lived near campus for 6 years.

My size 12 jeans are the ones that are too big.  Hm.  They must have had a 7-year-old sewing the tags in that day.

Picked up [livejournal.com profile] velvet__moon and drove to Springfield to the [livejournal.com profile] hp_ohio meetup this morning.  Mmm, french toast and shipping debates.  :)  Though I always feel tres lame because I'm so not crafty or creative.  I pretty much sit there like a lump.  I have no good quotes, alas.

Thank goodness Cheryl told me to be careful on the way home, because I came thisclose to being in a serious accident (just north of downtown on 71, no less).  And thank goodness I actually know how to drive, or I'da been toast.  I think the only injury was that my car got pelted by all the shrapnel flying around. details if anyone is interested )

It was also karma that I stopped for gas and a breather in Hilliard, else I might have been too tired to have good reaction time.  I was seriously sleepy from Dayton to Hilliard.

I can't say it enough - learn how to drive your damn car.  Take a defensive driving course, take your car to the Kroger parking lot, take it to the country - wherever - and learn what it can and can't do.  ESPECIALLY if you drive an SUV; if you can't park it, don't drive it.  Dammit.
