This seemingly disconnected meme )

Have been busier than ever at work. I wish it could be like this all the time; I wouldn't have felt the need to leave out of sheer boredom. And the intense dislike of one of my bosses and the big boss. The section manager never deems it necessary to acknowledge my presence unless there are clients present. Then of course I am one of his most valuable employees. Since I'm leaving anyway, some little part of me wants to confront him.

Jim: And here's Donna, who works with our project coordinator and our QA group. Good morning Donna!
Me: Why do you never talk to me unless there are at least three suit-and-tie people following you?
Jim: ...

If I were consistently busy, I could ignore things like that and concentrate on the work at hand. But I am leaving so it doesn't matter! *does happy dance* Don't have short-timers disease yet, owing to a large amount of work that I need to completely finish before I leave. They're already interviewing for my job, so maybe I'll get to show the new hire the way I've gotten things together in the archive and get her up to speed before the FDA shows up this year.

Went to see the Clippers last night. Caught up with my good friend S. and her husband. They're doing Atkins - God love 'em, I can't do that. I need my kidneys, for one, as I'm diabetic. I'm making enough ketones as it is. And I can't give up carbs. Sorry. I don't care how much weight I'll lose.

Okay, am tired. Must go to DMV tomorrow morning, then to library to get email info and talk to new boss. Then I'm gonna crash.
