Meme, modified to lessen irritation

Cut for your pleasure (I seem to be all about pleasing people tonight, better take advantage of this while it lasts!):



1. The first character I first fell in love with: I'd have to go with Harry James Potter. I loved him from the get-go.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Snape. I knew he'd play a big part in the overall canon, but now...I'm just waiting for the final scene between he and Harry to play out. Angst to the extreme!

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Sirius. There, I said it! I don't hate him, I love his issues, but as a character, he just doesn't do it for me, alas. All apologies to camillabloom.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates: I really like Slughorn. Actually, what I liked most was the way Harry read him right off. Very insightful, that Harry Potter.

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Dumbledore. He seemed to be the good guy, but now he seems like a manipulative fool.

6. The character I would shag anytime: Would it be terribly uncouth to say the Twins? :>

7. The character I'd want to be like: I think overall I'm more like Harry than I want to admit, but I think I'd like to be Ginny Weasley.

8. The character I'd slap: OOTP!Harry. The CAPSLOCK OF RAGE thing was so freaking annoying. He needed to grow up, for reals.

9. A pairing that I love: Just one?! Never gonna happen. My one and only critera is that any fanfic be convincing. Dude, if coldcoffeeeyes can get me into a story featuring Steve Irwin as the Care of Magical Creatures teacher, it's gotta have something going for it, right?? My favorite pairings to read are Snape pairings (power and control, baby, power and control) and really awesome Trio fic.

10. A pairing that I despise: Remus/Sirius. It does absolutely nothing for me. Fluff fic in general squicks me, hard.



So, yeah, there you go. Anyone want to see me meme this with Austen or Strangers With Candy? 'Cause I could do those two, too. :D

1. The first character I first fell in love with: Eleanor Dashwood. So eminently sensible, that one.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Anne Elliott from Persuasion. It took me a couple of read-throughs and seeing the movie for me to get her, but she's very convincing as a character, now.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Marianne Dashwood. She grates on my nerves and seems ungrateful (and she got Alan Rickman Colonel Brandon, whom she doesn't deserve!)

4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Mary Bennett. I love to read fanfic based around her character.

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: I really started out loving Mr. Bennett, but I don't know that he holds up under scrutiny - he's somewhat of a fraud.

6. The character I would shag anytime: Mr. Darcy, heh.

7. The character I'd want to be like: I wish I were as witty as Elizabeth Bennett and cheerful as Mr. Bingley.

8. The character I'd slap: I think we can all safely say Mrs. Norris is pretty terrible, as is Wickham. Miss Emma Woodhouse is as annoying as they come, too - she needs a good slap at times.

9. A pairing that I love: *coughs* Darcy/Bingley

10. A pairing that I despise: Ooh, so many! Pretty much any pairing with a rake or scoundrel! :)
