Note to self: If you get a cone of Jeni's Makers' Mark with Pecans ice cream, be sure to have gum handy. Else the cashier at the calendar store will look at you oddly as if you needed a shot of bourbon to shop City Center (which may well be true). And possibly the counter help at BBW/White Barn will share her concern, too. *facepalm* Seriously strong ice cream.
Upside: I now have a astrological wall calendar (so I don't have to rely strictly on the asshattery of the general public to plot the phases of the moon) and an America, the Calendar daily calendar for my desk at work. Right now I'm glad I don't share desk space with my boss (she of the nutty Christian variety). Much love to Jon Stewart and co.
Bath and Body Works has had a large reduction in inventory on it's first day of clearance pricing. So has my bank account. :)
I must make a confession: I've gotten into the teeny-tiny Strangers With Candy fandom, and with that, an obsession with Noblet/Jellineck slash. But it gets worse! I'm now flirting with the idea of RPS, which I've never quite understood.
It all comes from this interview quote:
They were not friends, at first: "Paul thought I was some stuck-up
guy from Northwestern whose tie was too tight, and I thought he was a
Neanderthal who could barely read," Colbert recalls. "As Amy said,
'They were both right.' Then we fell in love."
I do not need yet another obsession, especially another slash obsession.
I'm considering making resolutions this year. Maybe I should resolve to get some psychotropic medication to take away the urge to commit myself to promises I cannot possibly keep. :P
Night all.
