I'm starting to feel like [livejournal.com profile] likebunnies - I seem never to come and make a nice, happy entry, only to bitch and whine and moan.

The Rainbow Girls and I were supposed to help sort and box toys for a local charity. Except it wasn't tonight - it's tomorrow night. The date changed! So, we show up and I have a message on my phone. >:O So I call C and ask "What gives?" She was soooo upset and swore she'd left a message for me last week letting me know about the change. And with the crappy service I've been getting with my voice mail, she just might have. *facepalm* No one to blame but me, I think. Grawrr. Needless to say, I'm angry and feel like shit about running my entire Assembly out for nothing.

Work - we had a meeting on Wednesday with the Public Service Director (which we wouldn't have had, had he showed up at the one he was supposed to have done!), which went BADLY. He has zero people skills and actually told the library manager to shut up a couple of times, and put down the staff's concerns so gruffly I was *facepalm*-ing the entire time. Spent most of the morning trying to undo the damage - curse words were bandied about quite often. A couple good things came out of it - I think the staff finally realize that the department manager isn't to blame for everything.

Then, busted my butt. Missed Rainbow. Missed Secret Santa. Feel like crap about that. :( I've been to Rainbow with the flu and tummy troubles, but I was so stiff I wasn't sure I could have sat up. I should have just sucked it up and grit my teeth. It would have been worth not putting up with feeling guilty.

Oh, and the nightmares weren't because of the painkillers - I had another dream about someone jumping to their death. Not.cool! Dream people, what does this mean?

Ooh! Something good! They played "California Uber Alles" this morning during the Andyman-a-thon! It's the little things, I tell ya.

Was it a stranger or someone you know who jumped?

In the first dream, it was a co-worker whom I never work with, and she jumped from the top of a stairwell.

The second was a stranger - I was on a lower highway-deck watching the police pull over a car on an upper highway-deck and the driver of the car jumped off the overpass.

I didn't see either of them make impact, though I heard it.

Weird, huh?

Yeah, the way that most break down such dreams is if it is someone close, then there is something about that person that you don't like and wish they'd change. If it's you or a stranger commiting suicide then there is something about you that you want to change/don't like/etc.

Enough stress to be going on with too. *hugs* Glad I didn't sign up for any Secret Santa, would never have managed either.
