I'm sure some Columbus folks will be upset to hear that Bill Moss has passed away:

I always respected the fact that he at least kept the Columbus School District in the news. And he kept the board honest, if aggravated.

Wow. That is sad news. Though I questioned his actions (I think he showed up at board meetings in his army fatigues or something close to that), I really respected his very loud voice on some very important subjects.

Yeah, he wasn't afraid to make a spectacle of himself if it would help make a point. And he still managed to get elected over and over.

It is sad, though.

He did every crazy manner of thing - showing up in fatigues, pounding his shoe on the table for order, picketing Nationwide Insurance, etc.

But I couldn't tell you the name of the superintendent of schools in any other district in the state, or what their problems are. Bill Moss kept the CPS in the media and I have to give him respect for that, if nothing else.

Nutty guy.
