I think I should work backward in my timeline of Recent Events Of Interest To None But Myself.
Reduced-sugar Fruity Pebbles are the real deal, very yummy. They must take the place of the Girl Scout Cookies - I believe at this point, my blood is just chocolate mint-flavored liquid.
I made
Donna's best-ever Taco Salad - good hot, cold, mixed together or layered perfectly
Note: No matter how much of a gourmand you may be, DO NOT use lemon juice, use the concentrate. The resulting lack of water will make your avocado layer super-tart and yummy!
Layer on platter or other large, flat surface (at least 12" wide):
Layer 1: 1 can of Refried Beans
Layer 2: 2-3 avocadoes, peeled and mashed (be sure they are ripe - soft and black - when buying) seasoned with garlic salt and lemon juice concentrate, to taste. Mix and spread on bean layer.
Layer 3: 1 c. sour cream + 1/2 c. Miracle Whip + 1 envelope taco seasoning. Mix and spread on avocado layer.
Top with 1 c. cheddar cheese + 1 c. other cheese (taco, colby-jack), black olives, shredded lettuce, green onions, and chopped tomato
Chill for one hour and serve with tortilla chips. Yee-uummmy! which we'll be having for breakfast, lunch and dinner until we're sporking each other for the last bit. :-9
I know some folks really love Bath and Body Works. So do I, except I'm the
I am the world's pickiest person when it comes to toiletries, and nowhere does that apply more strongly than at BBW. There are some scents there so noxious (Cucumber Melon?!) that I swoon at the very sight of the neon-green lotion. Sometimes, the greeter attacks you with their latest scent, squirting and rubbing it into your hands while your *aiiieeee* echoes through your skull.
Today, however, was a different experience. The greeter let me sniff the new scent first (cherry blossom, very sweet-y) and left me alone to browse. I checked out the Almond face scrub and other various Pure Simplicity products (since
madlorivoldmort has recently recommended some of the line).
Then, the greeter asked if I wanted to try this. It's a chapped hand cleanser with aloe and jojoba, and it left my hands soft but not greasy (whee!). Then I picked up Dr. Hiosous Quince Hand Lotion, which wasn't greasy either, or overly smelly.
Yeah, I'm out a few bucks, and I have a new hand care regime. *tosses Mary Kay Satin Hands kit*
I have been getting more and more excited about Book 6, specifically excited about what we're going to find out about Professor Snape. I do plan to spend the release weekend with
kirixchi and company, which should be great fun! :)
Right now, I'm satisfying my Snape fascination by reading lots of Snape!fic, from Pawn to Queen to If You Are Prepared and everything in between. There's even a Snape/Luna fic out there.
What are you all looking forward to in HBP?
