OWOWOWOWOWOW

Oh. My. God. I had the worst thing happen to me.

I went to tan (yeah, yeah, I know, but I have a slight problem with SAD; I'm only in there once or twice a week for 15 minutes, max) and I put on a sample packet of tan cream. It was called "Tingle", and claimed to have an ingredient that promised "tight, firm skin you can feel".

Ohholyshititburnsitburnsitburns.

Christ on a cracker - it started tingling, which progressed to burning by the time my 12 minutes in the bed was up. By the time I got home, I was dancing around, screeching, lobster-red. Showering got the stuff off my skin, and Honeybunch slathered me with sanity-saving gel (Bath and Body Works' Put It On Ice, which they don't seem to carry anymore :O) while I took some Benadryl.

But I took a nap and lo, the redness is gone (you could see the section of my back where I couldn't reach to apply the lotion!) and I'm all better now.

Phew.

Talk about truth in advertising!

Yikes! That sounds un-fun!

I went on a tanning bed kick pre-Scotland...I don't think I ever worked u to 12 mins- I'm so fair skinned!

I do LOVE tanning beds apart from the burning aspect though :$ Thank goodness you had hubby to make it better!

BTW- have y'all had pumpkin fest yet this year?

Too bad the allergic reaction cancelled out any benefit from the bed - I'm just as pale as before.

Pumpkin Show is the third weekend of the month, so a week from Wednesday. I'm saving up all my bad food calories for pumpkin ice cream and chicken and noodles! :-9

Tingle makes you feel way worse than tingley. Ouch. So no more Tingle for you, I bet.

Ouch. Ooooch....OUCH!!!

I have often thought of randomly jumping into a tanning booth now and again during the winter to combat the doledrums...

You know, it does help...I get to take a little nap, get a little extra light, a little time for myself.

I learned the hard way on the tingle thing too. Now I make sure to let the girl know when I am buying lotion, NO TINGLE!! I use a high pressure 15 minute bed once a week and that works really good to keep my color. Without it I would start to look very snow white.
